Abstract

192,014. Kalb, W. May 26, 1922. Stoppers with valves.- Relates to collapsable tubes with h spring - controlled valves, in which pressure on the contents opens the valve. The head c of the tube a carries a conical closing member d to the lower end of which spring arms e are attached. The free ends i of the springs press upon annular shoulders s in the inside of the tube head and normally retain the valve in the closed position. The tube mouth is formed with a sharp edge held in position by ridge supports h. A ball, pyramidal, or cylindrical valve may be employed, and the springs may be covered by lead, tin, varnish, &c.
