Abstract

236,805. Joyce, J. A. Nov. 28, 1924. Non - refillable bottles. - In a non- refillable bottle, a piston 2 in the body 1 of the bottle is manipulated, without the aid of a rod, through an opening in the bottom of the bottle to eject the contents of the bottle through an inaccessible non - return valve and an aperture 10, the valve comprising a body part 5 having a discharge passage 19, 11 closed by an elastic sleeve 6 the lower end of which is gripped between the body part 5 and a shoulder 7 on the neck 4 of the bottle. The upper part 9 of the body part 5 is formed as a deflector to prevent any tampering with the sleeve 6. The piston 2 which may be retained by a ring 16 is provided with a projection 18 adapted to enter the passage 19 to expel practically the whole of the contents of the bottle.
