Abstract

341,595. Bottle stoppers. CLAIR L. J. LE, Raycroft, Ray Mill Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire. Nov. 5, 1929, No. 33681. [Class 125 (iii).] A stopper for a bottle &c. comprises an outer collar 3 adapted to be completely passed over an external flange 6 on the neck of the bottle and to hold in place, e.g. by screws 8, an inner collar 1 formed in two or more parts so that on placing a cap 4 in sealing position the flange 6 is gripped between the inner collar 1 and the cap 4. Preferably, gaskets 9, 10 are incorporated to make a fluid tight joint. A sprinkling nozzle 11 and, cap 12 may be provided on the closing cap. In a modification the flange 6 of the bottle-neck : is gripped between the inner divided collar 1 and .the outer collar 3, the latter passing part way only over the flange; by connecting screws.
