Creel arrangements. - In pirn-winding machines for artificial silk, cotton, flax, and other material, a balanced brake wire D is connected between adjustable stops C to the compensator arm B by a wire A so that, when the unwinding ceases, it engages the supply bobbin and prevents overrunning. During winding the brake wire is inoperative and does not exercise any control on the supply bobbin.
