Creel arrangements.-A braking-device for a bobbin 1 from which yarn is being unwound comprises a blade spring 7 supported by a bracket 6 on the spindle 2 and having a brake-strap 5 unitary with or separate from the spring 7, the spring pressure beng variable by adjustment of a guide 8 along the spindle 2. In the form shown the strap 5, which is separate from the spring 7, is hinged at 4 to the rail 3 and is shaped so that the spring pressure diminishes as the bobbin empties.
