Vacuum closures.-A sheet-metal box or can of the " vacuum " type has an internal bead 3 formed at the base of the neck portion 4, an external bead 2 being disposed below the internal one. The lid is' formed with a bead 9 at the junction of the roof portion and the flange; this bead is to accommodate a sealing ring 10, and may be disposed with relation to the beaded upper edge 5 of the neck portion in any of the ways shown in Figs. 1, 2 and 3.
