[Class 66] The lever-lid of a syrup, paint, or like tin is provided with a hook-ended projection 9 extending outwardly from the flange and adapted to engage the rim 5 of the mouth opening to support the lid when removed in an inclined position for draining. The projection may consist of metal strip or wire or may be formed as an extension of the flange 7, and to prevent soiling it may be shaped to lie flat against the inner face of the rim 5.
