Formed with means for retaining labels.-To prevent the indicating device 2 described in the parent Specification from moving around the rim 4 of the paint or like can, a slot 7 is formed in the clip portion 3 upon which the lip 6 of the lid presses and a tongue 8 cut from the lip is caused to engage in the slot. In a modified construction the entire lip 6 may be bent to form a tongue to engage the slot.
