Abstract

293,728. General Electric Co., Ltd., and Smithells, C. J. April 7, 1927. Alloys.-Articles requiring resistance to oxidation and mechanical stability at high temperatures, such as resistance heating elements, stay rods of boilers, and sheet metal for distillation vessels, are made of nickel-chromium alloys free from deleterious impurities and consisting of more than 50 per cent of nickel and more than 10 per cent of chromium. The alloy may consist of 70 per cent of nickel and 30 per cent of chromium, and may be made by the process described in Specification 293,727.
