Abstract
Parts of glass-making apparatus which come into contact with molten glass as it flows from the furnace are coated or faced with an alloy of platinum and rhodium. The alloy preferably contains at least 80 per cent of platinum, suitable proportions consisting of 90 per cent of platinum and 10 per cent of rhodium.
