Water-waste preventers, disinfecting-apparatus for.- The discharge valve 43, Fig. 3, of a disinfectant container 3, is opened by the fall of a float 35 in the flushing cistern 1, through a disc 31 on the float rod, a weighted cam 38, and a bellcrank lever 23. In a modified form, the lever and cam are disposed in a compartment 48, Fig. 6, of the container 3.
