Abstract

Water-waste preventers, disinfecting-apparatus for.-Apparatus for supplying disinfectant to a flushing cistern comprises receptacle, arranged above the cistern, the outlet from which is con. trolled by a valve operated by an oscillating lever, actuated by a pendent pivoted lever from the float-valve mechanism of the cistern. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the outlet 12 from the receptacle 1 is normally closed by a pin or other protuberance on a pivoted lever 13, but is opened by an adjustable member 33 on a lever 25 operatively connected to the float rod 30. In a modified form, an outlet-valve 59, Fig. 8, is connected to the lever 13 which may be acted on by a spring 62 and by a tripping member 47 on the lever 25 weighted at 54.
