Pressing; liquids, gases, and vapours, treating with.-A fabric x to be dressed, hot pressed, &c. is wound on a perforated drum w<1> along with an apron l<1>, l<2> which is damped or impregnated with a chemical in passing between rollers d<1>, d<2> the lower of which is in contact with a roller a dipping into a water &c. trough. Hot or cold air or steam is forced or drawn through the roll of fabric on the drum w<1> by a fan p. A second drum w<2> is provided, the apron and a treated fabric y being run off one, while the apron and a fabric to be treated are being wound on the other drum.
