Apparatus for treating with liquids.- Colouring, sizing, impregnating, or otherwise treating paper on one surface is effected by a roller B revolving in a trough A, the wet, half wet, or dried paper web passing under the roller into the liquid in the trough. The roller B may be of rubber; the paper P lies closely against the roller. A second roller and trough may be used to apply liquor to the other side of the paper.
