289,690. Thielicke, K. Sept. 5, 1927. Egg - cooking apparatus. -A device for boiling eggs comprises a cylinder a open at its lower end, having a dome b fitted with a vent cock d, and gauze e surrounding the dome for retaining the eggs in position on the device. The device is placed in a cooking- vessel c and is sunk by opening the cock d. The cock d is then closed, and whilst the water is boiled, steam collects in the dome b. The device is thereby raised in the water when the eggs are cooked. In order to boil the eggs very hard, the steam is allowed to escape through the vent d which is subsequently closed to allow the device to rise.
