Convection currents, promoting; heating and cooking vessels.-A dished plate of earthenware &c., formed with an aperture c and provided with a knob which may have a groove e to facilitate the attachment of a string, is placed on the bottom of a pan to prevent milk &c. from boiling over. The Specification states that the device prevents the temperature of milk from rising above 170‹ F.
