Abstract

405,847. Kettles &c. BIRKINSHAW, E., 46, Lamartine Street, Nottingham. May 5, 1933, No. 13082. [Class 66.] The bottoms of kettles, saucepans, and like heating and cooking vessels are formed with upwardly recessed heat channels D, Fig. 1, running in indirect or serpentine form from the centre to the outer edge where they meet other heat channels A leading upwardly between projections C formed on the lower portions of the side walls. The casings, Fig. 2, within which the vessels are disposed for use have central bottom openings N and smaller stamped-out openings G, the vessels being supported on the edges of the struck-up portions F. The inwardly-projecting parts afford between them further heat channels R between the sides of the vessel and the wall of the casing.
