Abstract

Jackets ; overflow, external devices for catching.-A saucepan or like cooking-vessel 1, preferably heated electrically over resistance elements, is permanently surrounded by a sleeve 3, secured thereto at a substantial height above the bottom of the vessel. The sleeve is spaced away from the vessel proper, forming a jacket 7, for the reception of the heated gases, and has its lower edge turned outwardly and upwardly to form a shallow channel 5, not projecting below the bottom of the vessel.
