Abstract

289,374. Landis et Gyr Soc. Anon. April 25, 1927, [Convention date]. Addition to 249,074. Induction motor meters.-The counterpole arrangement of the meter described in the parent Specification is made in the form of a magnetic shunt 29, Figs. 1 and 2, which is secured to the two outer limbs 2, 4 of the current core 1 whilst the central limb 3 carrying the current coil 5 extends freely through an aperture in the iron shunt 29. The shunt with interposed non-magnetic packing- pieces 30 is fixed to the ends of the limbs 2, 4 by means of screws 31 which extend into slots therein and are secured into strips or nuts 33 inserted in transverse slots as shown. The parts 33 may be in the form of bolts, or they may be wedge-shaped and upset at their narrower ends so that they serve as rivets to hold together the plates of the core 1. In a modification, the shunt is fitted between extensions on the outer parts of the limbs 2, 4.
