Dry processes of refining metals and alloys.- The deoxidation of molten metals and alloys, for example copper and nickel, is effected by the addition of beryllium, with or without other additions such as lithium. The beryllium may be added in the form of an alloy, in such amount that not more than about 0.5 per cent. of beryllium .is present in the product.
