286,517. Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co., Ltd., (Westinghouse Electric & Manufacturing Co.). May 19, 1927, Induction motor meters; temperature errors, compensating for.-An induction meter is provided with two short-circuited loops so constructed and disposed and having such temperature coefficients as to compensate for both power factor and temperature variations. On the shunt pole 2 is arranged a short-circuited loop 9 so proportioned as to over-compensate the meter, whilst on the series poles 3 is arranged a short-circuited loop 10 of figure-of-eight formation and proportioned so as to under-compensate the meter. The loop 9 is of brass or other metal having a lower temperature coefficient than the loop 10, which may be of copper.
