Abstract

194,394. Mordey, W. M., and Electrical Apparatus Co., Ltd. Dec. 9, 1921. Special quentities, registering.-In a meter for measuring simultaneously or successively the consumption of electrical energy supplied at different rates, the current coil is shunted across a series resistance connected in one circuit, another circuit being permanently connected between a line conductor and an intermediate point in the series resistance determined by the relative charges per unit. As applied to an induction meter, the series resistance c in a lighting circuit l is permanently connected at an intermediate point p<1> with a power circuit p. The series resistance may be provided with tappings, to one of which the power circuit can be connected the relative value of the charges is changed. The consumption may be recorded in pounds, shillings, and pence.
