Current and pressure at distant places, measuring. - Current and voltage values are measured, recorded or indicated at a distance by connecting a currentoperated device with pilot wires to a voltage-operated device, the voltage-operated device being connected to the midpoint of the winding of the current-operated device, so that its current passes differentially through the current-operated device. As shown, an ammeter a, connected by pilot wires c is shunted on one bus-bar at b and has a centre tapping c to which is connected a voltmeter d. If the negative pole of the system is earthed the voltmeter can be earthed or a third pilot wire can be employed whether the negative pole is earthed or not.
