286,436. Dicker, S. G. S., (Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabricken). Feb. 14, 1927. Alternating - current induction machines. - The anti-cathode of a R÷ntgenray tube forms the rotor of an induction motor, and consists of a copper cylinder 8 with an inner iron cylinder 7 mounted on ball bearings on a shaft 5, which is hollow to facilitate cooling, and thestator consists of magnets 9 and windings 11 in a shell 10, which is mounted around the tube and is preferably connected with an earthed metal part 2 of the tube.
