608,408. Induction machines. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. Feb. 22, 1946, No. 5575. Convention date, May 21, 1941. [Class 35] A machine such as an A.C. motor for hand shavers &c. comprises at least two stator coils 2, 3, located one behind the other in the direction of the rotor shaft 1 and having U-shaped pole cores 4, 5, the yoke portions of which carry the coils and the unwound limbs of which extend in the direction of the rotor shaft. The poles may carry polepieces which may be united to form a ring and for split-phase motors a condenser may be formed as a cylinder around the poles. For polyphase operation a corresponding number of poles may be used.
