Abstract
285,130. Flanders, R. L. Howard-, and Rolph, W. M. Nov. 9, 1926. Thermionic heterodyne receivers. -In a supersonic heterodyne receiver suitable for portable use, the intermediate frequency amplifier comprises valves 2, 3, with resistance-capacity coupling 7, 8 and reaction from the anode of the second detector 3. The valve 1 is preferably a combined detector-oscillator and the reaction condenser 9 is preferably coupled to its anode circuit. The condenser 9 may in addition be mechanically coupled with or formed as a unit with the rheostat 10 controlling the filaments of valves 1, 2.
