Thermionic amplifiers and detectors.-A wireless receiver comprises a thermionic valve 1 having a tuned circuit 8, 10 connected between the plate 4 and the grid condenser 11 and an earthed connection 12 to the grid 7 through the grid condenser 11. The range of the receiver may be increased by connecting an aerial at the point 14 in the plate circuit. The filament rheostat 13 serves to control the oscillations.
