Abstract

324,704. Cox, H. E. Nov. 1, 1928. Receiving systems : thermionic amplifiers.-A receiving system employing two earthed wires A, M, in place of the usual aerial, comprises an oscil. latory circuit B, C connected on one side to earth A and on the other to the grid of the first valve and through a variable condenser D to earth M. The condenser D is stated to stabilize the circuit, whilst a fixed condenser P is bridged across the coil terminal Y<2> and the point E. A reaction coil G is in the plate circuit of the detector valve J. A fixed condenser V is shunted across the plate and filament of the detector J, whilst a similar condenser W is connected between the grid and filament of the last amplifier.
