[Class 37.] Fig. 1 shows a short wave supersonic heterodyne converter, operating in conjunction with a normal broadcast receiver 57 over wavebands of 163-72, 79-33 and 35-15.5 metres and the Specification gives detailed constructions of the coils and components used. The tuning coil 16 adapted to be short-circuited in two sections and the twosection continuously rotatable tuning condenser 21 is provided with three scales and scale lights 71a ... 71c to indicate the wave range in use. Fig. 9 shows the construction of the oscillator tuning coil 40 and Fig. 10 the associated feed-back coil 42 and coupling coils 44, 45 to the cathode of the detector 17.
