Abstract

284,145. Bergwik, B. G. A. July 16, 1927. Clamps, eccentric.-A device for clamping one article, e.g. a pillion seat to another article e.g. the back carrier of a motor cycle, comprises a metal bar 1 with a hook 2 at one end and a pivoted spring- pressed lever 5 at the other. The device is secured to the seat and the hook 2 engaged on one transverse bar of the carrier 16 and the lever 5 on another. The pivot 4 is inserted in a suitable hole 3 in the bar 1 so that the end 6 of the lever 5 can be firmly engaged. The slot may have two such devices secured to its underside, with the parts 7 of the levers 5 connected by a rod carrying a spiral spring to replace the wire springs 9.
