Yarns., treating with liquids. - The tendering effect produced on cotton, artificial silk and other cellulosic yarns &c. by treatment with tannic acid and stannous chloride, is obviated by a final treatment with a weakly alkaline agent such as a soap solution or a weak solution of sodium carbonate.
