Joints with yielding outer part compressed.- In a hose connector of the type comprising a sleeve a adapted to fit within the end of the hose and one or more loose discs b provided with claws b<1> for holding the hose on said sleeve, the discs b are removably attached to the sleeve by means of a slip-on split collar or equivalent device c adapted to engage a reduced portion a<3> thereof and hold the discs against a shoulder a<2> formed thereon. 'The connector is completed by a coupling nut x which bears against a second shoulder a' formed on the sleeve a. The collar c is preferably formed of spring steel and is provided with a flange c<1> to engage the discs b. Fig. 7 shows a modification wherein a coned collar c<4> is used, while in a further modification the collar comprises simply a ring of wire adapted to engage a semi-circular channel in the sleeve.
