514,562. Wire couplings. BRITISH INSULATED CABLES, Ltd., BROOM, T. C. and POWELL, H. J. May 10, 1938, No. 13921. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Groups XXV and XXXVI] In a coupling in which a wire 4 is clamped within a sleeve 1 by a wedge 2 the free end of the wire is bent over the wedge and secured thereto by a link 3 which embraces the wire and a projection 9 on the wedge. The device may be used for connecting the end of a wire to an eye 13. When used for connecting two wires the sleeve has a lug 25 to which one of the wires is secured, or two wedges may be used.
