Abstract

417,397. Couplings. BRITISH INSULATED CABLES, Ltd., Prescot, and BLADES, R. W., Lynwood, Eccleston Park, Prescot, Lancashire. April 8, 1933, No. 10552. [Class 38 (i).] A contact member 1 secured to a base by means of holes 19 and having a cable clamp 2, 3 at one end, has loose mechanical connection and a flexible conductive connection 6, 7 between the cable clamp and the point of mounting so that movements of the cable do not disturb the mounting. Laminated members 6, 7 with their ends embraced by clips 8, 9 are riveted to the contact 1 and to the clamp members 2, 3 with a distance-piece 13 between them. The upper parts 15, 16 of the members 2, 3 form a fork loosely embracing a tongue 14 and attached thereto by a loosely fitting split pin 18 that limits the movement of the flexible joint.
