283,314. Steeper, H., and Hoare, C. G. Nov. 26, 1926. Limbs, artificial.-A gripping device for use with artificial arms comprises a form of pliers having an arm H, D with an attachment plate J, the other arm C having a curved piece K co-operating with a pivoted link L provided with an adjustment screw and shoe N, R, the jaws being further provided with gripping recesses E, F of different sizes and the arm C having a nosepiece Q. The member K abuts against a pin M carried by the link L and in a modification this pin may be replaced by a blade spring.
