Abstract

603,680. Nutcrackers. LUCKTON, W. Oct. 27, 1945, No. 28480. [Class 128] A nutcracker comprises a lever 9 pivoted at 10 to a pivoted jaw 3 on a lever 1, having a fixed jaw 2, and a strut 12 pivoted at 13 to the lever 9 and pivotally connected to the lever 1 as by means of a pin 15 engaging one or other of slots 14. A tension spring 17 normally urges the levers and jaws apart from each other. Each jaw has serrated gripping areas 5, 6 to engage nuts of different sizes.
