Abstract
281,286. Moya, R. G. Nov. 24, 1926, [Convention date]. Stopping and starting arrangements; stop-motions acting on failure of selvedge-forming thread. The selvedge-forming thread from a bobbin acts on an arm 22, Figs. 5 and 6, of a light member 22, 23 and thus turns the arm 23 thereof into position to lower an arm 24 on a rod 25 turnable in a boss 26 on a hand lever or grip 27 mounted on a spring-controlled bar 28 connected by a lever to the loom belt-shifting block. The rod 25 is provided with a counterpoise 30 and with an arm 29, which, when the bobbin thread fails, is moved into the path of a lay member 32. The hand lever 27 and bar 28 are thus turned, a, stop or screw 33 on the bar 28 entering a notch 34, thus allowing the bar to be moved endwise by its spring to stop the loom. The hand lever 27 is used to re-set the parts in operative position. Specification 227,865, [Class 142 (ii), Looms, Kinds &c.], is referred to.
