Abstract

280,621. Steers, E., (Steers, H. L.). Aug. 14, 1926. Stays.-Doors and other hinged members are secured in an adjusted position by means of a plurality of locking pins, such as M, only one of which is capable engaging at any one time with a seriers of holes G. The pins are carried by a disc D pivotally mounted at E to the disc A and in which are the circumferentially-positioned holes. The pins L, M, N are carried by a lever O and they are so spaced circumferentially that when one pin register with a hole the other pins are out of register with the adjacent holes, as shown in Fig. 3. Springs W are mounted above the pins, and a spring-pressed pin A<1> is provided to engage with one of the recesses B<1>, C<1> of the lever O to secure the pins in a locked or unlocked position. The disc A is secured to the post C by a flange B and the plate D carries an arm E<1> slidably engaged by a bracket G<1> on the door.
