Latches, sliding, for doors, of the kind described in the parent Specification are constructed so that the rod d' on which the latch spring D is mounted, forms the means for blocking the latch by abutting against a stud a<1> on the casing. The rod is rocked for locking or release by a member F pivoted on the stud a<1> and operated by a knob f<3> on the outside of the casing.
