378,241. Sliding latches. McKINNEY MANUFACTURING CO., Liverpool Street, Pittsburg, U.S.A.-(Assignees of McKinney, J. P. ; of McKinney Manufacturing Co., Liverpool Street, Pittsburg, U.S.A.) Sept. 22, 1931, No. 26504. Convention date, Oct. 13, 1930. [Class 44.] A spring-pressed latch bolt 17 slides within a spring-pressed retractor 21 and is guided by a pin 10 screwed to the casing. The retractor spring 22 is heavier than, and concentric with, the bolt spring 19. The retractor is dead-locked by a device described in Specification 362,141. The invention is illustrated with a lock of the type described in Specification 302,524, [Class 44, Fastenings, Lock &c.], and 359,194.
