[Class 44] A follower-operated latch B is locked when a projection G3 on a key-operated plate G sliding on two pins H1, H2 engages behind a shoulder B1 on the member B. A single spring D presses the latch outwards and keeps a pivoted tumbler F, pivoted on the pin H1 in engagement with a projection G2 on the plate G. The end C of the latch has a sliding engagement with a part L on the member B to enable it to be reversed for use on right- or left-hand doors.
