Working-fluid supply.-In a turbine having combustion chambers A in rotors 1, 2 with intervening columns of water and being driven by the passage of the water from one rotor to the other by way of a stationary guide ring 3, the radius of the guide ring is only slightly greater than the extreme distance of the water surface from the shaft so that the greater part of the length of the water columns necessary to produce a steady flow is in the axial portion. The axial passages for the water have a constant cross-section. Radial blades extend from the axial portion to the innermost position of the water surface. The guide ring is shaped as shown at 3 so as to close one of the two axial divisions of the water passages in the rotor from which the water is emerging and to guide the water into both divisions of the water passages of the other rotor.
