Abstract
278,516. Brown & Barlow, Ltd., and Brown, C. Sept. 30, 1926. Spray carburettors. - The body of the carburettor is of a composite nature and comprises an L-shaped portion a of relatively heavy character having the mixture outlet c formed integrally therewith, and a channel-shaped portion d of a relatively light character secured to the heavy portion by bolts e and carrying an air inlet tube f. The heavy portion may be a pressing. forging, or casting, and the tube f may be secured to the part d by pressing, swaging, or eyektting. The heavy portion carries a fuel inlet boss b. The body is closed by a stopper or cover portion g, and the chamber thus formed may accommodate slides actuated by Bowden cables. and one of which may carry a taper needle projecting into the fuel inlet. The chamber is not necessarily of rectangular form. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 15876/14.
