359,936. Injectors. MOON, F. J. T., Hendon House, Biddenden, Kent, and WRIGHT, G. W., 41, Harpenden Road, Wanstead, Essex. July 28, 1930, No. 22675. [Class 71.] Auxiliary charges of humidified or carburetted air with or without steam are conveved to the induction pipe of an internalcombustion engine by an exhaust actuated injector. The auxiliary charge enters through a pipe b and flows past a cut-off valve d to a nozzle f<1>. Air from the atmosphere enters through an adjustable orifice a<7> and exhaust gases enter through a central passage h. The injector nozzle f<1> is secured by a screw co-operating with a groove f<3> so that the nozzle can be easily detached. The injector may be connected to a windscreen wiper.
