Abstract

194,009. Sclater, F. A. Sept. 6, 1922. Heating by electricity. -A box-like fitting 24 connected between the induction pipe 13 and a pipe 14 leading from the carburettor of an internal - combustion engine, contains an electric resistance in the form of a grid 19 for heating the charge and has an extra air-inlet controlled by a valve 25, so arranged that the extra air passes over the heating grid 19.
