Abstract

362,637. Pumps. OGG, J. H., 5, Coltbridge Avenue, Murrayfield, Edinburgh. Nov. 17, 1930, No. 34519. [Class 7 (ii).] A fan 2 between the engine and carburetter C is driven by an electric motor M in whose supply circuit is a hand switch Sand a second switch 8, 11, which is closed conjointly with the opening of the carburetter throttle 13. The motor is mounted between a pair of pipes 1 forming the delivery from the carburetter. As shown the fan is housed in a chamber 3 near the induction manifold, but this chamber and fan may be placed at the lower end of the pipes 1 directly above the carburetter.. The pipes 1, motor &c. may be arranged horizontally.
