Abstract
278,212. Barton, C. H., and Mayson, H. Dec. 1, 1926. Building blocks, special shapes of.-Spaced slabs A and header blocks T for walls are provided with grooves V all round in which are inserted iron or other keys vertically and horizontally, with L-shaped keys in the angled corner blocks U, or grouting may be poured in the vertical grooves. Both header and corner blocks are angled and provided with holes U<1> in which a rod is grouted. The header blocks are formed with half-round grooves in the ends for rods. In a modified header block, keys are formed integrally with the upper and lower faces. The footing is similarly formed of bonded blocks keyed together and with concrete cast in the space S.
