Abstract
278,101. Meagher, W. D. July 7, 1926. Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-An arrow B arranged at the front of a vehicle is turned to the left or right by one or other of a pair of field coils excited by means of a manually operated switch, the spindle of the arrow carrying an armature C. At the rear of the vehicle is a compartmented casing e, two compartments showing arrows pointing to the right and left respectively and illuminated simultaneously with a corresponding movement of the arrow B. In addition, a "Stop" signal is displayed in the rear casing on the actuation of the brake. A lamp B<1> may be carried by the arrow to display an " On " signal on depression of a push-button, &c. Lamps b illuminate the arrow when it is turned.
