Road-traffic signals on vehicles.-A four-way switch for selectively lighting signalling lamps in a compartmented casing carried by a road-vehicle comprises a swinging handle u universally mounted, for example in a rubber disc w, and carrying a slkrirg-pressed sliding contact rod y adapted to engage selectively the radially arranged fixed contact pieces t<1> - - t<1111>. By swinging the handle u towards the appropriate sign marked on the cover v, the circuit for the desired signal is completed!.. The lamp casing has front and rear panels bearing conventional signs, and is divided by partitions into three compartments h, j, k, the central compartment i being again divided by an inclined partition m into front and rear compartments with separate lamps, so that the front central compartment may indicate " straight ahead " and the rear one "stop."
