391,467. Road-traffic signals on vehicles. LANE, H., 22, Sixth Road, Tyler Street. Brightside, Sheffield. Aug. 31, 1931, No. 24386. [Class 118 (ii).] A direction - indicator, particularly for use on vehicles, comprises a front member D having a number of regularly - spaced apertures H behind which are three or more slides bearing spaced letters which can be exhibited and changed by moving the slides. All the slides except the rear one are provided with apertures between the letters. The slides move in grooves in a casing A and they may be illuminated by a lamp J when made of transparent material, or by a spot light when made of opaque material. An indicator may be provided both at the front and back of a vehicle and the slides may be operated simultaneously by a chain &c.
